The LoudLode Manifesto

Music first. Artists always. Clear deals, real work, lasting artist value.

Music First. Artists Always.

LoudLode Records exists because too many artists are asked to give away too much before anyone has proved they can deliver anything.

Too many deals are written to confuse. Too many labels call themselves “partners” while treating artists like inventory. Too many creators are expected to trade ownership, freedom, and future opportunity for vague promises of exposure.

We are building LoudLode differently.

We believe artists should understand the deal before they ever need a lawyer to translate it.

We believe a label’s share should reflect its actual contribution: the work it performs, the expertise it provides, the audience it develops, and the financial risk it truly takes. Not its logo. Not its leverage. Not its ability to bury terms in legal language.

We believe in clear commitments.

If we say we will distribute your music, we will define what that means. If we say we will support your release, we will define the plan. If we spend money, you should know how much, why, and whether it is recoupable. If we earn from your music, you should be able to see the numbers.

No mystery math. No surprise deductions. No invisible overhead. No vague marketing charges that keep an artist permanently “unrecouped.”

Your career is not ours to own

Your music is part of your life’s work. Your career is bigger than any single release, label, campaign, or contract.

LoudLode does not exist to own your touring income, your merchandise, your brand partnerships, your fan community, your social presence, or the opportunities you create outside recorded music.

We are not here to take a percentage of everything you do simply because we were present at one point in your journey.

We are here to earn our place as a music partner.

That means focusing on the release, the recording, the campaign, the systems, and the work we agree to do together. If a partnership expands into a new area, it should be because there is a clear reason, real value, and a separate agreement—not because a clause gave us the right to reach into every part of your future.

Ownership should mean something

LoudLode believes that artists should retain meaningful ownership of their master recordings whenever possible.

Our standard approach is not to take your music forever. It is to work under a defined, time-limited license for a defined release.

You should know exactly what release is covered, how long the arrangement lasts, what LoudLode is allowed to do, how revenue is handled, and what happens when the term ends.

We do not believe a developing artist should surrender a lifetime of rights in exchange for basic distribution, an upload, a few emails, or a promise to “see what happens.”

If LoudLode asks for more, it must bring more.

The deal must fit the work

Not every artist needs the same kind of label relationship.

Some artists need a reliable release partner: clean distribution, accurate metadata, a proper release timeline, royalty reporting, and the confidence that their music will arrive correctly everywhere it needs to be.

Some artists need deeper campaign support: a strategy, release planning, platform pitching, content systems, audience development, outreach coordination, analytics, and consistent accountability.

A select few releases may justify a true campaign partnership: focused attention, a defined budget, real execution, and a greater level of LoudLode involvement.

There is no shame in starting with a low-touch deal. There is no pressure to sign away more than the project requires.

The support level should be clear. The economics should match the support level. The rights granted should match the risk taken.

That is the standard.

Transparency is respect

Artists deserve to know where their money comes from and where it goes.

They deserve royalty statements they can read. They deserve payment schedules they can rely on. They deserve access to the information behind their releases. They deserve to know whether a campaign is working, what was spent, what remains unrecouped, and what the next decision should be.

Transparency is not a favor LoudLode grants when asked.

It is how a real partnership operates.

We will aim to keep reporting understandable, expenses visible, and decisions documented. We will not hide behind vague “net profit” language, creative accounting, or unexplained deductions.

If an expense is recoupable, it should be agreed in advance.

If a budget changes, that conversation should happen before the money disappears.

If the release earns, the artist should be able to follow the path from revenue to payment.

We will not sell fantasies

LoudLode cannot promise a viral moment.

We cannot guarantee editorial playlists, press coverage, radio spins, sync placements, sold-out shows, chart positions, or a specific number of streams.

No honest partner can.

What we can promise is that we will not confuse activity with outcomes or make inflated promises to win a signature.

We will define the work. We will do the work. We will report on the work. We will learn from the results.

A thoughtful campaign is valuable even when the outcome is uncertain. It produces assets, data, relationships, discipline, and a stronger foundation for the next release.

Our job is not to manufacture false certainty. Our job is to create the best possible conditions for the music to travel.

Artists should build assets that outlive a campaign

A release is not only a moment. It is an opportunity to build infrastructure.

LoudLode wants artists to leave each release with more than a streaming link.

More clarity about their audience. More organized rights and credits. More useful content. More data. More direct connection to fans. More confidence in their process. More control over their catalog and identity.

We value the systems behind the song:

  • Clean metadata and complete credits
  • Accurate songwriter and producer splits
  • Release-ready assets and organized files
  • Direct fan relationships through artist-owned channels
  • Understandable royalty administration
  • Better campaign intelligence for the next release
  • A documented release process that gets stronger over time

A campaign should not make an artist more dependent on LoudLode. It should make them more capable.

Collaboration is the culture

LoudLode is not a passive upload service, and it is not a gatekeeper.

We are building a collaborative label culture for artists who care about the craft, the business, and the long game.

That means artists show up prepared. Music arrives release-ready. Credits are accurate. Splits are discussed early. Samples are cleared. Communication is timely. Everyone participates in the plan.

A label cannot create momentum alone. Neither can an artist.

The strongest releases happen when the artist brings the vision and the commitment, while the label brings structure, execution, strategy, systems, and an honest view of the market.

We respect artists enough to tell the truth—not just what sounds good in a meeting.

We earn the next release

No artist should feel locked into a relationship that has stopped serving the music.

LoudLode wants to earn the right to work with an artist again through execution, communication, fairness, and results—not through traps, endless options, or terms designed to make leaving impossible.

Our agreements should have a beginning, a purpose, and a fair ending.

If we do great work together, we should both want to continue.

If we do not, the artist should have a clear path forward.

This is the standard

LoudLode Records stands for:

  • Clear deals before complicated documents
  • Defined releases rather than broad ownership grabs
  • Artist ownership wherever possible
  • Time-limited partnerships
  • No 360 claims without genuine, separate value
  • No publishing grab disguised as a record deal
  • Transparent royalty reporting and approved expenses
  • No surprise recoupment or hidden overhead
  • Campaigns with real scopes, budgets, and accountability
  • Artist-owned audience and career infrastructure
  • Honest expectations instead of empty promises
  • Mutual respect, creative freedom, and long-term thinking

We are not here to extract value from artists at the beginning of their journey.

We are here to help create it—then share it fairly.

LoudLode Records Clear deals. Real work. Lasting artist value.
